Leadership

Jim grew up in the Midwest and the pacific northwest.  Jim and Laurie met at Moody and married in 1984 and have 2 grown children, Ryan and Michaela.  Jim attended Moody Bible, Trinity College, and recently did doctoral studies in Leadership at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.  Jim pastored in Portland, OR prior to moving to Waverly in 2006.  Jim enjoys hanging out with his family, reading, and coffee shops.  He spends time biking, hiking, fishing, and watching sports -  especially the Bears and Cubs.  Jim’s passion is to glorify God in preaching and teaching and to lead in the mission of Ephesians 4:12, “to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ”.

Josh grew up in Minneapolis and by God's sovereign grace met his wife Sonya at North Central University. They got married in 2013, and have six wonderful children; Titus, Gideon, Ezra,  Roman, Phinehas, and Verity. They enjoy delighting in God together in reading the Word, singing hymns, playing board games & video games, and studying church history. The coffee is always flowing at their house. Before coming to Grace, Josh was a carpenter for many years and specialized in drywall.  His favorite Scripture verses are Romans 11:32; “God has consigned all men to disobedience so that He might have mercy on them all.” And Galatians 6:8; "The one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life."

Doug grew up in Ackley, a rural town 30miles west of Waverly, and by God’s grace, was raised in a small country church south of Dumont. He met Allison while coaching her younger twin sisters at Central College.  They were married in 2003 and the Lord has richly blessed them with four children Noah, Luke, Lizzy and Abby.  The Frazell family enjoys time together outdoors at a family cabin in northern MN, as well as cheering each other on at different sporting events. Doug studied Exercise Science and Business at Central College and has spent the last 25years coaching at the collegiate and high school levels, while serving in volunteer to full-time capacities with both InterVarsity and Fellowship of Christian Athletes Ministries. His favorite verse is Philippians 1:6 “And I am sure of this, that He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ"

Jessica and her family have been at Grace since November of 2016. Jessica and her husband Ben met at Bible College and have served on and off in ministry since then. They have 4 kids ages 17-6. Favorite Scripture verses are Psalm 37:4-5 “Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act.”
